Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal and factual research; prepare and respond to written discovery
• Draft pleadings and motions; assist with pre-trial and trial activities

Education/Experience/Licensing:
• 2-3 years’ intellectual property litigation experience
• California bar and Patent bar licenses
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably computer science

Qualifications/Skills:
• Excellent research, written, and verbal communication skills
• Excellent transcripts from accredited law school
• Strong knowledge of federal civil procedure
• Strong work ethic; ability to handle a busy docket with minimal oversight

Seeking a Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Law Clerk to join our West Los Angeles office.

Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct research and draft reports on existing and forthcoming privacy regulations
• Analyze information audits to align with existing privacy regulations
• Assist with drafting organizational policies and developing privacy training programs
• Analyze documentation and data flows from clients to categorize data
• Assist with internal privacy compliance program

Education/Experience:
• Second or third year law student
• Background in information technology, informatics, cybersecurity, computer science or related field

Qualifications/Skills:
• Strong interest in privacy compliance issues
• Problem-solver that enjoys analyzing complicated and potentially conflicting regulations
• Proactive self-starter and team player

Intellectual Property Paralegal training program and certification – 3 year plan:

• Year One – After one year of employment and a favorable evaluation and review the employee shall be referred by his or her supervisor for sponsorship to the UCLA Paralegal Training Program.
• Year Two – Qualifying candidates will be registered for the Paralegal Program and have their tuition and books paid for by Cislo & Thomas LLP.
• Year Three – Upon completion of the year long program the participant will receive an ABA Paralegal Certification. Under supervision of the firm the employee will be given greater responsibilities and commence working as an Intellectual Property Paralegal.

In-house training programs – Weekly training sessions covering all aspects of IP practice and procedure.

Subsidized training/education programs – Employees who have a great work ethic and show an affinity for this area of law will be offered sponsorship for legal education and training to further their skills and knowledge.
